Reign of the Unwanted - Night 4

Chronicles of Roika:

Reign of the Unwanted

Night 4

We succeeded! The vampires retreated! There were casualties thought. But I’m glad none of them were any of my family members. The start of the fight was surprising. The vampires got many. It turned out that some of those who were killed by the vampires turned into vampires as well. I could recognize familiar faces that were killed during the previous battle. They were there. But they were now among the enemies. Our plan worked, especially at the beginning. The vampires underestimated us. They immediately attacked without hesitation. Our numbers helped tremendously during the battle. It was a good thing only few of those who died turned into vampires. The other corpses were probably too damaged to live again. The vampires were losing. They knew they had to retreat before even more of them die. And that’s what they did. They retreated.

It was a long hard-fought battle. I want to tell everything that happened but there was just too many. Flaris became a battlefield. Just try to imagine everyone teaming up to slay each and every vampire. There were parties with all sorts of classes everywhere. From land to air, it was a mess. There were acrobats, rangers and jesters that would shoot arrows from above. Everyone gave it their all. You could even see spellcasters sending off all sorts of elements to the vampires. The feeling was intense. Our opponents were strong... really strong. But somehow, it felt like victory was inevitable.

I can’t believe we won...

-----------------------------------------------------

Morning came. We rejoiced even more. The bodies of the vampires who got killed turned into ashes as the sun’s light reached them. Knowing those who would get killed by the vampires would turn into vampires, we burned the bodies of those who were killed earlier instead of just burying them. We didn’t liked it. We just had no choice. We wanted to ensure safety. It was for the best.

We still had a lot to do before we could rest. We repainted the houses and had another gathering. We were to battle them once more. The same plan was to be used. But this time, we added traps. We all knew where the traps were placed. We were to avoid those traps.
