eFlyff goes v17!

THE COLOSSEUM

COLOSSEUM

The grand Colosseum is a sacred place for brave men and woman courageous enough to set foot upon it's grounds. It is an arena that holds glory, honor, fame and any man or woman; rich or poor; brains or brawn may die upon this storied battleground. For those skilled enough, for those strong enough, for those smart enough - they however may rise to become the stuff of legend.

Rebuilt and restored at the behest of the Darken Mayor, and with the blessing of Rhisis herself, the Colosseum is a battle arena where parties or guilds may accept the challenge of facing wave after wave of bosses. Each encounter is timed, with each wave become progressively more difficult.

There are 2 "modes" the Colosseum offers: a low level challenge designed for groups of players level 1 to 90, and a high level challenge designed for groups of players level 1 to 150. Complete with a ranking system to track the fastest and most efficient groups, players may vie to be the best of the best.

LOW LEVEL

The Colosseum offers glory to not only those who have reached the highest of levels in Madrigal, but also to fledgling adventurers looking for a challenge early on in their careers.

Designed for players level 1 - 90, there are 13 waves of giant masquerpets to face in this mode, and the time limit for besting the entire challenge may prove to be quite difficult for some!

Each of the masquerpets that you will face in this mode are giants. There is a chance that you will face the "real" Madrigal version of these giants or a weaker "imitation" version. The chance to face either the "real" or "imitation" masquerpets is random, but you can bet that both are ferocious fighters that only a fool would take lightly.

HIGH LEVEL

All the fiercest masquerpets in Flyff have been gathered to face the bravest and most powerful heroes that Madrigal has to offer. The perilous challenge will prove to be the doom of many adventurers. It is not for the faint of heart and this test has been designed to separate the boys from the men, from the wannabes to the legit. Apply only if you truly believe that you are the best and most skilled of them all.

This challenge will put the players against extremely tough boss masquerpets. Similiar to the low level challnege, there is a chance that you will face either the "real" or boss, or a watered down "imitation" boss. This chance is random, but unlike the low level challenge, there is also a new possibility that a new, never before seen masquerpet will appear. As this challenge was designed for players of the highest levels, you can bet that would be heroes with their hands full!

NEW ARMORS

Shortly after the surprising discovery of the Kalgas cave, the Muran wasted no time in researching their ancient records.

One such finding suggests that mystical armors made from Baruna were in fact worn by the original heroes that helped to seal off Lord Kargas. The Muran theorized that if these armors do exist, they would be an incomparable boon to the person that held it.

Unfortunately, records also suggest that these powerful armors were sealed away in the forgotten battle with Lord Kargas, and that any adventurer seeking to find them would surely be lost in the abyss that is the Kalgas cave. Are you brave enough to seek these lost artifacts?

RUNE SOCKETING

In addition to the Muran findings regarding the new Baruna Armors, a once sacred document that had been lost to time has been found that reveals the history of some mysterious runes.

In an ancient and forgotten era, when Titans such as the God of Death Ankou and the God of Wrath Kalgas roamed Roika and fought the Goddess Rhisis, warriors who were loyal to the cause of good were given powerful stones that they could use to aid them in battle.

The runes were often place within the weapons of these heroes, so that they would greatly strengthen and enhace the magical properties they possessed. Masquerpets held these runes in awe and fear and they had good reason to do so.

Speculation suggests that like the fabled Baruna Armors, these mystic runes could also be found within Kalgas Cave. Several foolhardy adventurers have already made attempts to venture into the perilous dungeon... they have not been heard from since.

In Flyff V17, players will have the chance to find some new mystical runes that can be slotted into Baruna grade weapons.

This is different from what players are traditionally familiar with, however. Unlike the piercing system and the cards that previous weapons were upgraded with, Rune Socketing is a completely new feature available to Baruna weapons only.

In V17, players can now have Udi and Piyo place runes into Baruna grade weapons. Only a single rune can be placed into a single piece of equipment, and the process is not guaranteed, but the benefits of just one of these mystical stones speak for themselves.

So far, the Muran have only recovered documents that explain 4 specific runes:

Manaz - a rune rumored to have the ability to completely restore a mage's magic store.
Zera - a rune rumored to have the ability to completely refresh a fighter's energy and will.
Berk - a rune rumored to have the ability to completely rejuvenate it's wounded wielder.
Sigel - a rune so powerful that it can slay almost any masquerpet with a single blow.

These runes are rumored to be found off the Bahara Desert Masquerpets and the Kalgas Cave Masquerpets, but the Muran have advised against foolishly searching for lost fabled artifacts. Still, the ramifications of these tales being true are groundbreaking indeed - not just to the Muran, but to the rest of the known world. Is Madrigal ready for these once powerful relics to be rediscovered? Or will the hunt for these coveted artifacts be too perilous for adventurers.

NEW MASQUERPETS

DYNAMIC GROUP MASQUERPET AI

New to V17, some of the Flyff Masquerpets can be found traveling in small packs, or parties. They will attack together, defend together, and adventurers will have to keep an eye out lest they fall victim to being overwhelmed.

Group Masquerpets will follow a specified designated leader. Typically, but not always, they will target the person that the lead masquerpet has it's attention on. Masquerpets will also favor protecting their leader so players will now have to strategize accordingly.

Attacking just a single monster out of these new monster parties earns you the wrath of the entire group. Be very careful when hunting some of these new organized and very lethal bands!

This new feature opens up a ton of new depth when it comes to grinding. How will you strategize and how will you tackle the new challenges put forth by the new and improved intelligence of Flyff's monsters?

LEVEL CAP INCREASE and MORE!

That's right guys! V17 will be increasing the level cap to level 150! You're going to need those levels 500! With even tougher and more vicious masquerpets to fight, how else are you going to beat 'em up?

see more of the features here.
